A Custom Digital Footprint for GMAN C.A.R.E.S.

The GMAN C.A.R.E.S. Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing awareness, research, education, and support for youth and families struggling with eating disorders. They benefit the community by offering a localized support network, guidance, and critical resources to individuals navigating recovery and their families. We partnered with them to build their logo and website, complete with an e-commerce setup for accepting donations.

The Story

The Challenge

As a newly established foundation, GMAN C.A.R.E.S. was in the process of starting operations but lacked a website. They had also secured a prominent local partnership event with the Owen Sound Attack OHL team for a charity game, where the team would wear foundation-themed jerseys (which we designed) and highlight the foundation throughout the night to raise awareness. To leverage this community exposure, they needed a logo and a functional, e-commerce enabled website to go live before the game (so they could accept donations).

Our Solution

We designed and developed a custom logo and e-commerce enabled WordPress website engineered to meet their event deadline and ongoing operational needs. The core pillars of our solution included:
  • Custom WooCommerce Integration: We implemented a WooCommerce e-commerce setup configured to process donations of several preset denominations, as well as an option for custom amounts.
  • Core Website Architecture: We built the foundational layout of the site, establishing clear navigation for their content, partner directories, and support links.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): We established a baseline organic search framework during development to ensure the site could be properly indexed and discovered by search engines.

We successfully delivered the logo and website ahead of the charity game, ensuring that the foundation was able to receive and process community donations online throughout the event. In the 15 months following the launch (January 2025 to March 2026), the website has continued to run smoothly, driving consistent visitor traffic and processing thousands of dollars in donations.

Consistent Organic Traffic Growth

The initial search engine optimization framework successfully built index authority over time. Within the first year of operation, organic search steadily grew to account for ~35% of all monthly website traffic.

Increased Visitor Interaction

The structure and layout successfully kept traffic engaged post-launch. The average time spent on the website rose from an initial 10 seconds at launch, peaking at over 1 minute and 20 seconds, and then settled at a steady baseline of nearly 1 minute per user.
